Mission is an integral part of NBMC congregational life. Through ministry we share the love of Christ with our local, national and international communities.

Local ministries

Asylum Seekers Housing Network (ASHN) provides long-term housing for asylum seekers in an intentional community house known as the Reservoir Hill House of Peace (RHHP).

International ministries

Paul and Rebecca Mosley are members of NBMC currently serving with Mennonite Central Committee in Tanzania. There Paul works as the Health and Education Coordinator, supporting local partners in reaching underserved, marginalized populations. Rebecca is the Connecting Peoples Coordinator, supporting young adult volunteers to and from Tanzania and also coordinates peacebuilding projects. Their children, David and Oren, attend school in their city and the family is involved in Arusha Community Church. In their spare time the Mosely’s love to organize monthly, family-friendly games of Ultimate Frisbee on their compound. Joel Ruark is working with  unfoldingWord. Joel is a biblical language specialist working on the Gateway Languages project, which seeks to promote the cause of church-centered Bible translation around the globe. The project provides translation tools, resources, and training especially targeted for people groups in developing countries.  Joel’s specific work focuses on publishing Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek language resources with an open-license so that they are freely available to anyone with a smart phone or internet connection, anywhere in the world. He and his wife Allison and their two children (William and Cassia) live in Wheaton, Illinois.
